Trevor Gutschevsky proved on Thursday that winning golf is never far away.
Gutchuski, son of Freshman and Tour Pro Scott Gutschevsky, who was upset over the upcoming Florida, had struggled mostly since capturing US Junior Amateur in July. But a missed cut-off cut at the US Open at Omont, Gutchevsky came back in his victorious manner with a shot win over another son of the oldest son of the Gutchevski PGA Tour, Matt Kucher’s oldest son.
Rhodes, with three beads in its last six holes at the Harvester Club in Iowa, Gutshevski concluded 2-under 70 to end under 7. Kuthar, committed to TCU for 2026, joined nine out of nine in Gutsavsky, although 74 of each second round proved to be very expensive after the first round.
The bag for Gutasevsky was his elder brother, Luke, who played the role of his college golf in Iowa State.
Gutschevsky defeated Sunnahana Amateur winner Tyler Watts recently in the last summer US junior finals, but he missed the Pinnacle Bank Championship of Corn Ferry Tour, T -3 in T -3, Amaga Junior Players, T -13 in Amaga Junior Players, T -13 in Amaga Junior Players, T -13 and Zone Cup Jones Cups. Then last March, he defeated only four players in Junior Invitational in SEZ Valley. He chased with T-71 at Terra Cota Invitational and then posted a back-to-back in the 80s in Omont last week.
He has now joined a list of previous Western Junior Champions which are on 1914 dates and include Bobby Clampate (1978), Willy Wood (1979), Jim Furik (1987), Trip Kuehne (1991), Hunter Mahan (1999), Ricky Fauler (2005), Patrick Raders (2010) and 2010.
