New Delhi. When the Indian cricket team was coming on a tour of England, no one considered him a contender for victory. Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Team India proved everyone wrong by winning the Test match for the first time in Birmingham and equaling 1-1 in the series. Even though India may have lost the first match in Leeds, it remained till the last day in the match. In Birmingham too, a ball completely ended England’s expectations just before the last session on the last day. A wandering ball of a Washington Sundar before lunch took the match to India by taking the wicket of English captain Ben Stokes.

The Indian team has made a tremendous comeback after losing the first match against England. India set such a big target in Birmingham against the hosts who won 371 runs in Leeds, which was also difficult to think about. In the first innings, India scored a score of 587 runs thanks to the unmatched record innings of captain Shubman Gill in the first innings. After this, on the basis of the deadly bowling of Mohammed Shami and Akashdeep, England took a big lead of 180 runs for 407 runs. In the second innings, captain Gill scored 161 runs and India scored 427 runs for 6 wickets and set a huge target of 608 runs.

100 second cleverness changed the match

On the fourth day, when the Indian team set a huge target of 608 against England, the English team appeared under pressure. Akashdeep and Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets for 72 runs before the day’s play was over. On the fifth day, the rain spoiled the first hour game, but when the match started, Akashdeep took two wickets and pushed England to the backfoot. Before lunch, Shubman Gill removed Mohammad Siraj and called Washington Sundar on bowling. The over was over and Ravindra Jadeja finished the over in just 100 seconds, putting the ball quickly. With this, India got another side. It was here that the wonder that turned the entire attitude of the match. Washington Sundar overturned the match by dodging England captain Ben Stokes standing between India and the victory on his moving ball. If Jadeja would not have finished the over ahead of time, the team would have gone into the lunch break and may not get the wicket of Ben Stokes.
