New Delhi. The Indian Navy is going to get a state -of -the -art and very powerful warship ‘Tamal’. This new warship of India will be commissioned in the Navy today. This warship is equipped with BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. Warships Tamal have vertical launch surface -to -air missiles. It is also equipped with an advanced 100 mm gun, state-of-the-art system, heavyweight torpedo and quick attacking anti-Sabarine rocket. In addition, it is with state -of -the -art warship network Central Warfare Capacity and Modern Electronic War System. It can operate up to more than 30 knots and up to long sea distance.
After the completion of this entire series, the Indian Navy will have 10 warships with equal capabilities. This will increase the power of the Indian Navy in the sea. The warship Tamal, which is going to meet the Indian Navy, has been constructed at Russia’s Yantar Shipyard, Kalinigrad. It will be the last warship to be received from abroad. According to the ‘self -reliant India’ and ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government of India, 26 indigenous equipment has been installed in this warship. These devices also include BrahMos supersonic cruise missile capable of penetrating the goals on sea and land.
