Jihadi fighters started a coordinated raid on military positions

Jihadi fighters have launched a series of attacks simultaneously to military positions in many cities of Mali – the third major attack on the army in the last month.

Mali’s army said it canceled the attacks on Tuesday morning, allegedly “neutralizing” more than 80 terrorists, without saying that there were some other casualties.

However, Jama’At Nusrat Al-Islam Wall Muslims (JNIM), an al-Qaeda group, who said that it was behind the attacks, said it had controlled three army barracks.

For more than a decade, the gardener has been erased by a deadly Islamist rebellion, as well as attacks from separatist movements.

In a statement aired on National TV, Army spokesman Souleman Dembale said: “The enemy suffered significant losses at every place where he was engaged with security and defense forces.”

Colonel Deambale said that the army recovered weapons, vehicles and motorcycles from the attackers.

Earlier, the armed forces stated that the attacks along with Senegal took place near the border in seven cities and cities including Binoli, Kays and Sandre. Along with Mauritania, near the border of the gardener, there were also north north.

A resident of Kayes told the AFP news agency: “We woke up in shock this morning. There is a gun bullet, and from my house I can see smoke billing towards the governor’s residence.”

JNIM, in a statement posted on social media, called its attack “coordinated and high quality”. He did not expand any casualties.

The group has also said that it carried out two other important recent attacks.

On June 2, the terrorists targeted both an army camp and airport in the ancient, northern city Timbaktu.

A day earlier, at least 30 soldiers died in the center of the country in an raid.

The latest signs of growing insecurity in the Mali and the wider Sahel region, the United States Africa command warned of growing efforts by various various Islamist terrorist groups that work to achieve access to the coast of West Africa in Sahel.

During a press conference in May, the United States Africa Commander General Michael Langle harassed recent attacks in Nigeria, comprehensive Sahel and Lake Chad Basin deeply.

He warned that groups’ access to the coast would significantly promote their capacity for smuggling and weapons smuggling.
