A landslide triggered by Heavy Rainfall Struck Near The Vaishno Devi Pilgrimage Route in Katra on Monday Morning, Injuring Four Pilgrims and Disrupting Movement Along the Old Track.
According to Officials, The Incident Occurred Around 8:50 AM at Gulshan Ka Langar, Near Banganga, The Key Starting Point of the Yatra, Where Pony Riders Usually Gather. Continuous downpors over the past few days caused the debris to loosen and slide down on toTo the path.
A Swift Rescue Operation was launched by Local Authorities, and Four Pilgrims who was trapped under the rubble was pulled out and rushed to a nearby hospital. Their condition is currently stable, officials said.
Efforts are ongoing to clear the path and ensure the safety of other pilgrims on the route. Authorities have Urged Devotees to Remain Cutious and Follow Weather Advisors as more Rain is expected in the region.
