Thailand’s grand plan to roll out the integrated resort Casino by 2029 is becoming increasingly uncertain after a survey, which is against the law to the public.
According to reports on Monday, Thailand’s National Institute of Development Administration released the results of the survey in which the majority voted against the legalization of the IRC.
Most of the 1,310 respondents protested
The survey was conducted on 16–18 June, most of which 1,310 respondents opposed the push for fast-track casinos by Thailand’s ruling party under Prime Minister Patongtern Shinavatra by 2029.
The response in which 56.7% voted against the IRC with only 24% expressed support, the casino represents a large -scale shock for investors and the Phuu Thai party of the Tertongtern has already rejuvenated a gambling scam.
IRC is threatened by increasing stress
The results of the survey come at a time when the Patongtern administration is dealing with a political crisis that could face trouble for the present government that came to power in August 2024, when Patongtern’s predecessor Saretha Thawicin was excluded from the office.
