Security camera footage has shown the moment that Israeli forces rode on a boat that was carrying workers for Gaza to provide humanitarian assistance.
12 activists, including the Swedish pracharak Gita Thunberg, were detained and their boat, Madeline, were taken to the Israeli port city Ashdod.
Madelleen’s visit was organized by the Freedom Flotila alliance, an expedition group trying to break a blockade on Gaza in 2007 when Hamas controlled the area.
On June 1, the activists who established the sails said that the goal of the mission, which used to supply small amounts including rice and child’s formula, was to raise awareness due to restrictions on the distribution of Israeli’s help to raise awareness about the current human crisis in Gaza.
Israel rejected it as a “selfie boat”, saying that it would send the workers to their home countries.
