- It is only Villa and Villa in Maradiva Villa Resort and Spa, and each comes with a private dip pool – anything is also a sea view.
- The expander is adept at the overall spa Ayurvedic remedies and provides consultation with in-house doctor, hot oil treatment and herbal massage.
- The wealth of the beach is solitary with joy and has views of Mauritius’s most famous peak, Le Morne Brabant and Vibrant Tamarine Bay.
- There are five restaurants in Maradiva, from traditional Japanese fare to Northern Indian Fusion.
The Shelded West Coast of Mauritius sits in Flicks-N-Flac, a minor fishing village was a comfortable holiday shelter. If you wanted to walk south along the beach (for the longest time in the country) you would kill Volmer and finally, the sand will give way to the sand Black volcanic rock That is known to the island.
On this stretch Ancient Sandy Beachyou will find Maradiva villa resort and spaEstablished in 2004, the hotel was part of the Taj Exotica (a Mauritius Hospitality Company) before going independent in 2009. To date, it is a Mauritius family, the only five -star resort on the island owned and run by Ramajane.
In 2023, Maradiva closed the property for seven months to give a fully facelift. Now 16 additional two-bedroom villas, an extended fitness center, a new restaurant, and the selection of debut villas and penthouse are available soon. All villas also received an update during renovation and now it has a Maurician-inspired interior design, which has elegant touchs such as Hermes Wallpaper, Framede Botanical Print and Ratan Furniture.
Maradiva is the only villa-keval hotel on the island, and it is not unheard of sharing property with Hollywood star or royalty member for guests and is not sensible. Even there is a small on-site garden known as “Jordin des Stars”, where celebrities like Matthew McConaghi and Anne Hathaway have planted trees in honor of their stay.
And it is no wonder why this property is such a draw for rich and famous – it is highly private. Even during the high season month of December, I woke up and stalked on the beach with my villas courtyard, where I took a dip in the sea. I only had a quick exchange Bonejorce With a couple of staff members when I walk. Here each villa has a private dip pool, but a large, communal infinite pool that ignores the ocean and mountains – this is the place where you can catch a glimpse of other guests who have managed to tear yourself out of their villas.
Mauritius is known for its green -oriented external places, vibrant culinary visual and rich history, but makes it difficult to quit the spectacular and peaceful base property of the resort.

Room
There are 65 villas in Maradiva, and six housing type guests can choose, some of which have easy beach or pools. However, even the most “basic” rooms here are very spacious – the luxury suite pool villa is more than 1,765 sq ft. Visitors can highly expect the natural interior design elements such as solid wood furniture, knitted garments made of natural fibers, an easy Breezy indoor-outdoor flow and marble countertops in the bathroom. The courtyard is covered with the roofs of the pagoda-style that catching the eyes and is prepared with the sun’s bed for two people, lounge seats, and a sun bed. If you are traveling with small people or a large group, choose a two-bedroom villa. Each of the housing types also contains private options, which are more solitary than their standard brothers and sisters.
But if the luxury game is named during your journey, the two-bedroom president’s suit for the Pool Villa. Each one comes with a 24-hour butler service, a private kitchen, a home in a house with a living room, outdoor dining space and a 602-class foot swimming pool.

Food and drinks
Maradiva Villa Resort & Spa has five restaurants: Casin, Silentro, Haiku, Beach House Grill and Lantana. They are all maintained by Michelin-starred head chef Yanik Hochet.
Fresh from a flight and one -hour car ride from the airport, the northern Indian fusion restaurant Cilantro seemed like the best option for me. I make a feast on one Plate-Sty (where a lot of small dishes are served on a round plaater) dinner and enjoy my food for a live sound Tabla (A collision instrument) player.
The main on-site restaurant is Casine, which serves good food throughout the day-I loved to have fresh fruits, clouds like Belgian waffles, pastries and detox juice here with scenes of lawns and waves. The adorable red-wisted Bulbulas used to welcome Avian comrades, even though he tried his luck with my berries.
Haiku is a Japanese-induced, two-room restaurant. Consult on Pak enthusiast and former Japanese Ambassador of Mauritius, Shuchiro Kawaguchi, Vashoku (Traditional Japanese) menu, and it also has a teppanyaki station. But, if you are looking for something more less, the beach house grill and meat for the beach house are served under the shade of a large tree, with the view of the sea.
No journey of Mauritius is completed with rum at least without at least one encounter, the most popular drink of the island. Whether you are looking for a poolside beverages, afternoon tea, predicer epervice, or a nightcap, lantana bar and lounge. One of my favorite places to sit here was at the window, which completely implicated Le Morne Brabant and Infinity Pool. Away from the bar, you will find the basement and cigar humidor of the resort which is the home of the top-shelf wine and an array of about 2,000 cigars-the largest collection on the Shiva.

The spa
More than the spa earn its place as the main draw of Maradiva, and it specializes in Ayurveda, a system of traditional Indian medicine. I have my time here in-house Ayurvedic doctor (and Kerala native), Dr. Started with consultation with Praveen Nair. I learned the basics of some Aryuveda and what is my chief Faults (Energy or “humor” that affect mental and physical health). I was then whisper to get my recommended treatment: a sweeping Abhyanga Massage a medley of oils that match my specific requirements and constitution.
However, here is a wide range of treatment, including classic massage, Ayurvedic oil treatment, facials and body raps. There are cold and hot pools, a steam room, a sauna, as well as a laconium. Guests can enjoy warm or cold tea before or after their appointment, or even book some time in the Yoga Studio or Meditation Room.
