Akron, Ohio-Miguel Angel Jimanez ralled the Kaulig Company Championship to win their fourth PGA Tour Champions on Sunday, forced a playoff and defeated Steven Alker with a 20-foot shovel put on the second additional hole.
After the partner Alker’s play, two strokes ranked down-5 16th, Jimnez made 10—foot Birdi put on par-4 17th and 18-footer at Par-418.
For the lead lead to the round at Firestone South, 61-year-old Jimnez and 53-year-old Alkar shot each shot 2-under 68 to finish 10-under 270 in the Major Championship.
They each first rose to the 18th position on the playoff hole, in which Jimnez recalled an 18-foot Birdi’s attempt and the alkor took a 3 1/2-foot to send a 3 1/2-foot to a second additional hole.
Prior to Jimnez’s winner Put, Alkar recalled a 20 -foot beardi attempt after a recovery shot from trees on the right side of the Fairway.
Jimnez won his third major title after taking both the tradition of the region and senior British Open – in 2018 – and earned a place in the Players Championships in TPC Sogras next year. The Spanish star has a 17 career win over a 50-and-over tour.
Jimnez defeated Alker with two strokes at Trophy Hasan II in Morocco at Trophy Hasan II in February, then won a hayag classic in March, California in March, and three weeks ago, Principal charity classic in a playoff at Des Moines, Iowa.
Stewart Sink was third at 8 after 66. Steve Flash was another stroke after 65.
The US Senior Open begins on Thursday at Broadmore in Colorado, Colorado.
