The Pentagon has signed a multi-military dollar deal to start using Alon Musk’s Artificial Intelligence Chatbot, Groke, which has been confirmed by the Defense Department, as part of a comprehensive rollout of AI tools for government use.

Announced by Musk’s company XAI on Monday, the $ 200m (£ 149m) contract is part of its “Grock for Government” program, and align with the Trump administration’s push to adopt more aggressively of artificial intelligence.

It comes a few days later when Groke provoked backlash to avoid antisementary positions, including Adolf Hitler’s praise on X, which is a social media platform owned by Musk.

Musk said that the bot was “very obedient” and “very keen to make happy”. He said that this issue is being addressed.

Musk’s XAI says that the new deal will provide us with the latest version of the chatbot to Grocke 4 to government departments, and provide custom equipment for national security use.

The company also plans to provide technical assistance to the classified environment.

Pentagon also announced rewarding the same contracts to anthropic, google and openiI – each with a $ 200 meter roof.

The administration’s chief digital and AI officer Daug Matty said, “Adopting AI is changing the department’s ability to support our warfighters and maintain strategic benefits on our opponents.”

Musk’s extended government partnership comes in the midst of a deteriorating relationship with President Donald Trump.

Tesla and SpaceX Boss spent a quarter of a billion dollar in 2024 on Trump’s re -election attempt, and actively campaigned for him.

He was later appointed to run the government’s efficiency department (DOGE) – a federal cost -cutting initiative assigned the task of reducing the size of the US government.

But in recent months, Musk openly started criticizing that Trump had dubbed the “Big Beautiful Bill”, which is a huge expenditure and tax deduction law that Tesla Boss said that was very expensive for Americans.

Musk resigned from his post in Dogge in May, although the department has not been officially dissolved.

Since then, Trump suggested that Dogge could be deployed to harm the Musk companies.

Trump also suggested that he could deport Kasturi, an American citizen and was born in South Africa. He also has Canadian citizenship.

The Groke was introduced in the end of 2023 as a more unfit for other AI chatbots, such as chatters. It is already integrated into Musk’s social media platform X, earlier known as Twitter.
