The New York City Mayorl election will be held on November 4, 2025. With the start of the initial voting on Saturday, 12 candidates of political spectrum are working for the fight. Here each of them has a quick look:Eric adams (Independent)Adams is the current Mayor who is demanding re -election as an independent after leaving the Democratic Party.Zoharan mamdani (democrat)Born in Uganda, 33 -year -old Mammadani, a state legalist since 2020. He faces criticism for his views on Israel and supports leftist policies such as the city -owned grocery stores and free buses.Brad Lander (Democrat)Since 2022, City Comptroller, 55-year-old lander, is supported by progressive groups such as Working Family Party, but has struggled to appeal to both sides on the Israeli-Palestine issue.Adrian Adams (Democrat)The President of the city council, 64 -year -old Adrian Adams entered the race late. South Jamaica, a progressive democrats from Queens, is the first black man elected as the chairman of the city council.Scott stringer (democrat)The 65 -year -old stringer gave two words as the city’s controller by 2021.Zelnor myrri (democrat)The 38-year-old Brooklyn State Senator Myri has launched a relatively low campaign.Jessica Ramos (Democrat)Queens State Senator Ramos, 39, supporters are labor and progressive. She failed to meet the fundamental goals for debate. Michael Black (Democrat)Obama’s former colleague and state legalist Blake, 42, is known for his centralist policies.Whitney Tilson (Democrat)The 58-year-old hedge fund manager Tilson is a conservative democrats, campaigning against distant candidates.Gym walden (independent)The 59 -year -old Attorney Walden is running as a centralist independent. Known to prosecute dacoits, he has represented Kuoomo in the past.Curtis Sliva (Republican)The founder of Guardian Angels and Radio Host Sliva, 71, are running alone on Republican tickets. He has removed himself from Trump and expects benefits from Democratic Divisions.
