Colorado springs, colo. – Padraig Harrington came at the top of a major championship, which felt more like the match play, by a shot, closing its rounds on Sunday with seven straight pars at the US Senior Open for the top stewart sink by a shot.
Playing with a sink for the fourth straight day, Harrington shot 3-under 67 on 11-under 269, on a heavy sloping broadmur. The Irishman sealed the match at number 18 to 8 feet at number 18, which put pressure on the sink, which was trapped by one, but sat at a distance of 30 yards in front of him on the fairway.
The sink’s approach landed on depression of a verge, but did not come backward and relax until it was 35 feet away to install two-foot.
This led to the advantage of Harrington, who also made two-two-footing to seal the victory, although the last laugh went to Broadmore.
Minutes earlier, Sink saw to tie Nos 16 and 17 within 6 feet. The left was slided on the left, 17 at 17 burnt the shore and stopped right right. The sink, who hit the greens more than 72 holes than someone (64), but reduced that importance on this course, turned out to be correct.
This is really a vessel that matters. The sink required two more than Harrington on the fourth day of its performance – the difference between winning and losing.
Harrington won its second US Open title in four years, stating in a trophy case which includes 2007 and ’08 British Open and 2008 PGA.
Miguel Angel Jimanez was the only player to be threatened with a mixture in this two-man show. After opening with the bogie, Jimnez made eight birdies to draw inside a shot of the lead.
But he left his tea shot well at number 18, he had to punch out and make a bogie. He still shot the best phase of the tournament, which was 6-under 64, and finished in the third, two shots back.
Other players in the Sink-Hourington Group were locked in Threesomes to defeat the weather-Mark Hansbie.
Celebrating her 54th birthday, Hansbi could not add any magic, causing 19 Birds and part of the lead in the first three days. He made only two Sundays and shot 3-over 73 to tie fourth in 5 with Thomas Byorn.
Harrington: There was ‘Right Break’ at US Senior Open
Padraig Harrington reflected to dismiss the Stewart Sink to win the 2025 US Senior Open, shared how he was able to get all the “right breaks” over the weekend to win the tournament.
Harrington’s signature shot was his last Birdi of the day-Par-4 on 11th, a 12-footer that placed him in 11th position. It was a straight form, one of the very few people in this golf course.
But in fact, it could come less than 24 hours in advance when he was pasted at a distance of 20 yards from green for a shirt, which tied him with a sink in the last day, set them up with the same time for the fourth straight time and set up a match-play scene that came down to the final shot.
