The family of Lt Col (Retd) Rajveer Singh Chauhan, Who Died in A Helicopter Crash in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath Earlier this month, has been plunged into unimaginable grief. The grieving mother of the pilot deied on the thirteenth day after his death.
Chauhan, a Resident of Shastri Nagar in Jaipur, Was Among Seven People Who Lost their lives in a helicopter crash near gaurikund, close to kedarnath in uttarakhand, on june 15. A retired Indian Army Officer With 14 years of service, He Had Later Taken Up Flying as a Civilian Pilot. He had logged over 2,000 hours of flight time.
The Helicopter had taken off from Kedarnath en Route to Guptkashi Around 5:30 AM. It went down shortly after, in a densely Forested Area Known as Gauri Mai Khark, Located About 5 km Above Gaurikund. The helicopter is reportedly Caught fire upon impact between gaurikund and trijuginarayan in the kedarghati region.
Heart Attack Claims Grieving Mother during Last Rites
On the 13th day after rajveer’s death, as the family gathered to perform his traditional “tehravi” rituals, tragedy struck again. His mother, Vijay Lakshmi Chauhan, Complained of Severe Chest Pain and Collapsed. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was destroyed dead on Arrival. Doctors confirmed a heart attack as the cause of death.
The Family Members Reveled that Vijay Lakshmi Had Been Deeply Affected by the Sudden Loss of Her Son and Was Unable to Cope with the Grief. The back-to-back Trageidies have left the household in shock.
