When we tested Project Indigo Last month, we were impressed with it Lifelik photosBut the app also caused our iPhone 16 to warm and freeze. IndiGo is created by two creators behind Google’s Pixel camera app, and now a new update (version 10.2) has landed this week that addresses such issues.
According to the release notes, IndiGo update disables super-resolution by default on iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 15 and 15 Plus models. It also twists thermal warnings, so they only appear when the device reaches a “significant” temperature position rather than before in the overheating process.
Other changes include quality improvement for multi-frame super-resolution in scenes with both bright and low dynamic range regions, as well as reduced photo capture rates on low performing devices to improve stability. Tech previews are also unable now, while capture are processing, and with updates are rounded out with normal bug fixes and improvements.

While the update does not clearly refer to performance or overheating fix, many of which appear to be aimed at reducing the processing load of the app and preventing heat manufacturing that may cause crash.
There is still no timeline for the Android version of Indigo, but the developers first confirmed that it was in work.
