The digital team of Congress is again in discussion and that too is not for any creativity but for another ‘digital accident’. This time the act is that the official social media handle of the party shared the wrong map of Pakistan’s captured Kashmir (POK). When there was a ruckus, the post had to be deleted. To escape, it was said that someone has shared it. But this did not happen for the first time. Even before this, the ‘digital courts’ of the Congress shared a ‘head chopped’ photo, in which it was written- ‘missing’. When there was a protest, the post had to be removed… repeatedly such posts lead to the place of Congress, but they take the name of the intern and take a pension.
Explain to you by giving some examples…
,During the 2022 visit to India, the Congress showed brown shorts burning in a post, which are considered to be the identity of the RSS. It was considered an indirect attack on the RSS. This graphic was introduced as “a fight against hatred”, but there was a lot of criticism after the dispute.
,When Kangana Ranaut was given a ticket from Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal, Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinet was given a post from the Instagram handle in which a picture of Kangana was shared, along with the caption written, what is the sentiment in the market? It was associated with woman’s contact. When there was a ruckus, Supriya Srinet said that his account was handling another and he never posted.
,Earlier in 2022, a social media post of Congress made fun of the army’s ‘Surgical Strike Day’ as ‘event’. In the post, the Modi government was accused of imposing a pr in the name of the army. There was a very sharp reaction to this too. This post passed on retired officers of the army. Later, the Congress had to clarify that it was opposing the government, not the army.
,Once some social media volunteers of the Congress had shared a caste commentary on the then President of India Ramnath Kovind. He was mocked in these posts and was presented only as a ‘Dalit President’. This matter also became a big issue on social media and many Dalit organizations demanded apology from the Congress. The party had to face criticism for not controlling the attitude of its digital team.
