Muhammadu Buhari’s life tracked dramatic changes in politics in Nigeria over the last five decades – and he was often at the center of events.
The former Nigerian President, who died at the age of 82 on Sunday, became the country’s military leader after a coup, imprisoned by a new jute, then decades later he started himself to win the presidential post in a democratic election.
Most of Buhari’s life were often played publicly, playing dark glasses or thick, black-frame glasses, traditional janna caps and a broad smile.

Earlier in 2015, he was welcomed by the then US President Barack Obama to the White House.


After his death, in a London clinic, Buhari is being remembered by some people as a person who broke the promises of his campaign and crushed dissatisfaction.
By others, he was the champion of the order who tried his best among a useless political system.
In a tribute to his old rival, Jonathan described Buhari as someone who was “selfless in his commitment to his duty and served the country with a deep sense of character and patriotism”.
