The cancellation of the flight on the Ranchi-Delhi route led to a chaotic situation at the airport on Sunday evening, and the passengers were seen arguing about re-determining with the airline staff.
The low -cost carrier stated that it offered all possible options to the passengers, including the re -renovation on the favorite dates.
“One of our flights from Ranchi immediately after boarding due to a technical issue was offered to the guests, including a hotel migration on the next available flight, re -accommodation, residence for a preferred date, or canceling with full return.
Ranchi Airport Director RR Maurya had said that AIX (Air India Express) was canceled from 1200 Ranchi to Delhi, which was to leave at 6 pm on Sunday due to a technical snag.
Maurya said some passengers were accommodated on other flights, while many others had canceled their tickets. Some passengers were re -determined for Monday, he said. The 39 -year -old passenger, Faiz Anwar, told PTI on Sunday, “We boarded the flight around 5.20 pm and waited till 7 pm when we were suddenly asked to download without any reason. I would have to attend an important meeting tomorrow, but they are not ready for my flight.”
He claimed that there were many passengers, who were to catch international flights to the UK, the US and South Africa to connect international flights, but no one was to pay attention to their requests.
