A prominent businessman in Bihar, Gopal Khemka, was shot dead in the capital city of Patna late on Friday night in the city’s Gandhi Maidan area. 

Khemka, a well-known industrialist and owner of Magadh Hospital, was targeted by unidentified assailants near his residence at Ram Gulam Chowk while stepping out of his car.

This tragedy echoes a past family trauma, as Khemka’s son, Gunjan Khemka, was murdered six years ago by criminals in the Industrial Area of Vaishali district.

Following Friday night’s attack, senior police officials and Gandhi Maidan police rushed to the scene and have launched a thorough investigation.
