Ayodhya: The city of Lord Shri Ram is currently in the grip of scorching heat. The mercury here has reached 42 degrees. The situation is such that not only the local people, the devotees coming from far and wide are also upset. But the biggest concern of these is that the people of Jalwanpura and Ayodhya Dham Junction area, situated just one kilometer from the Ram temple, are facing electricity and water double hit.
It is surprising that the area around the area where the world famous Ram temple is built is immersed in the dark. Local people allege that due to the poor system of the Electricity Department, electricity is cut several times in this area within 24 hours. Alam is that many times the entire mohalla is immersed in darkness for hours, due to which questions are also being raised on security.
Electricity and water in summer causes trouble
Along with electricity problems, people are also facing a rare problem of water. Local resident Shailaja husband Pandey says that for the last two years, road construction work from Ayodhya Dham Junction to Shri Ram Hospital is going on, due to which the pipelines have been affected. Due to this, regular supply of water in the area is disrupted. In this summer season, when water is most needed, then people are craving for bucket-bucket water.
Ravi Pandey of this area says that the situation is very bad in the locality for the last 20 days. Recently, the transformer installed, it also flew in half an hour. When we talk to the officials of the electricity department, we get the answer of only ‘Bun’. But there is no mistry, nor any improvement. People have complained to departmental officers and District Magistrates of Ayodhya many times, but till now only assurances have been received.
Recently on the ground
The government makes claims to make Ayodhya a heetech and model city, but the situation is telling something else on the ground. The streets through which the crowd of Ram devotees pass, the local citizens are struggling for electricity and water.
