The hopes of winning the queen of Jack Draper were abolished by Jiri Leheka, when the British number one was beaten in a thrilling semi -finals while suffering from tonsillitis.
The 23-year-old, who had lost 6-4 4-6 7-5, was feeling unwell for a few days, but he said “he would not have taken out for anything” because he chased a childhood dream to reach the finals on the soil of the house.
Draper met behind losing the first set to set the second set and then went to the third to the toe-foot finger with his check opponent.
But Leheka got a significant break at 5-5, inspiring Draper to break his racket in advertising hoardings because he knew how harmful it was to his opportunities.
And so it was proved that Leheka won in West London to proceed to Sunday’s finals, where he would face either top seed Carlos Alkaraz or Roberto Botista Aguta.
He undergoes his fifth ATP tour final, but the wait for the British single champion continues since the most recent victory of five -time winner Andy Murray in 2016.
Draper will now rest for a few days before starting its preparation for Wimbledon, which starts from June 30.
“Today’s probably the worst I felt,” Draper said, which was revealed on Friday.
“Was I thought of withdrawing? No, not at all. I am in the semi -finals in the queen. I will probably go to court with a broken leg. I wouldn’t have taken out for anything.”
