People wishing to detect tundra can go with a commanding view on the remote with 12,880-foot Mount Mount Ida, a soft, walk-up peak Alpine lakesThe 9.6 mile round-trip Milner starts at about 11,000 feet from the pass and climbs a rocky ridge line at the Ida summit.
