Ryder Cup update: Keegan Bradley not the only big riser post-Travelers

Ryder Cup update: Keegan Bradley not the only big riser post-Travelers

With his victory on Sunday at the Travelers Championships, Keagan Bradley took a major step towards being the first captain to play the first captain in the Rider Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963.

Bradley made the last hole to sideline Tommy Fleetwood in TPC River Highlands, who dodged two of their last three holes, and conquered passengers for the second time in three years. Bradley’s victory also came on the anniversary of the year who was calling from the PGA of America, asking if he is the captain of this year’s American team in Bethpage.

For a long time that he will not be chosen as one of the 12 contestants, Bradley is now in the seventh position in the world rankings and is ninth in the US Rider Cup point, which has forced him to change his tune.

Bradley said on Sunday evening, “If I think it will help the team, I will play.”

Bradley has not played the Rider Cup since 2014, when he made his second direct appearance.

Fleetwood’s sixth career runner-up on PGA Tour took him to second place in five places in the European Rider Cup points, only behind the Rory McLero.

Russell Henley, who shared the second place among the passengers with Fleetwood, also made a big jump, which finished fourth from the top six. After the BMW Championship, the top six marks will automatically qualify, while six captain pics will be made after the tour championship. The top six Europeans will be finalized on August 25, with six pics coming on 1 September.

Here the standing of both points (Q-Clinade Birth) is updated:
