Sabrina Carpenter‘s style philosophy is all about glamour… with a wink. Much like the bombshells who came before her—Mae West, Jayne Mansfield, even Ms. Piggy—Carpenter dials up the va-va-voom factor but never takes herself too seriously, and has a knack for referencing the past with her own special spin. Those cheeky little details and references are so much fun, especially when they extend to her nails.

Carpenter first sported a micro-polka dot manicure in her new “Manchild” music video—you know, the one where she wears her hair in corkscrew curls? It’s safe to say she’s a fan of the aesthetic, and to celebrate the song hitting #1, she and her go-to nail artist Zola Ganzorigt whipped up a fun twist on the look by adding a strategic (and sparkly!) surprise to each nail: rhinestones!

“Polka dots were so good that we had to repeat the design and add some sparkles to it,” Ganzorigt wrote of the updated mani. Ganzorigt painted Carpenter’s medium-length, almond-shaped nails with a sheer pink base, then dotted the entire nail with teeny-tiny white polka dots. At first glance, you wouldn’t necessarily notice the rhinestones, as they’re equally small, but they’re there, and they’re delightful. Each nail features just a few shimmering stones, no more than two or three, for a subtle sparkle that is equal parts cute and glamorous, just like Carpenter.
