world AIDS DayEstablished in 1988 and celebrated every year on 1 December, it is the day to remember 42 million People who have died of AIDS related diseases since the onset of epidemic globally, and more and more respect 39 million Which includes 1.2 million AmericansLiving with HIV worldwide. This year’s World AIDS Day Theme, Collective Action: Sustain and Exult HIV progress, serves as an important reminder that we should stay stable in our commitment to prevent new HIV infections and provide essential services to all people living with HIV. However, despite the progress we have made around the world and in the United States, our progress has been unequal, and challenges remain. In a lot of communities, limited public awareness, lack of access, and rare partner engagement continues to create obstacles for broader HIV prevention and treatment.
Samhsa mission Public health and service are to lead the distribution efforts that promote mental health, prevent misuse of substance, and provide treatment and support to promote treatment, ensuring similar access and better results. Works to address the grant recipient of samhsa Cinematic HIV, viral hepatitis, use of substance uses disorders and mental illness. In samhsa, we are committed to manufacturing the last four-plus of the collective national HIV response in the decades made in decades and continue to improve our programming on the basis of evidence-based research on prevention, treatment and implementation science, as well as learned from grant-in-law recipients.
New in 2024, Samhsa provided $ 9.6 million in grant to pilot innovative approaches to meet the practical health requirements of those who are at risk to live or live with either HIV/AIDS. These pilots include:
- $ 5.4 million for minority AIDS initiative (MAI): SUD Prevention and Treatment Pilot ProgramAn innovative pilot that funds from the center for the Center for Mustis Abuses Prevention and Center for Mustis Abus Treatment, provides a continuity of care approaches that provides prevention of substance, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and include prevention and treatment services for HIV, viral hepatitis, and STI prevention. - $ 2.6 million for minority AIDS initiativeWhich pilots an integrated portable clinical care approach that combines behavior health and HIV treatment and prevention services that are experienced by people being homeless.
- $ 1.6 million for cinemic approaches to prevent the use of HIV and narcotics between racial and ethnic minority communitiesWhich tries to pursue equity in health consequences for racial and ethnic minority communities, especially all black women identities, including siszer, transgender, nonbinary, and lingar/fluid individuals in the south, who are experiencing inequality related to HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis (VH), or STIS and Subsuctions, Subsuity, STIS, STIS,
In 2023, Samhsa released it 2023 – 2026 Strategic PlanWhich prefer to integrate behavioral and physical health care, including HIV prevention, test and linkage for treatment in SAMHSA’s behavioral health grant portfolio.
