The US Secret Service last year issued suspension for six personnel on failures in one of Donald Trump’s rallies, during which a gunman attempted to kill the Republican, confirmed by an official.

Butler, the gathering in Pennsylvania, when Matthew Kruk opened fire on Trump and killed another partner, according to a Secret Service Report released on Thursday, there was “operational failure”.

One of the bullets of the miscreants caught Trump’s ear, which was later taken for security. The attacker was shot and killed.

It is not clear that when suspension of employees was formally released, and the US media report differs on whether they have already been served.

According to Thursday’s report, employees were discharged from 10 to 42 days without payment or profit.

“Secret Service is fully accountable to Butler,” Deputy Director of Service, Matt Quinn told BBC American partner CBS News. “Butler was an operational failure and we are focusing on ensuring that it never happens again.”

Quinn, appointed for his role in May this year, said he was “laser-centered on fixing the root cause of the problem, but his organization” would not fire our path out of this “.

He said that CBS had already made several reforms, including military-grade drones and better mobile command posts, which can now be used by agents in the area.

The identity and roles of the suspended employees on the day of the attack have not been revealed.

There are “clear lines” of accountability amidst the implemented secret service, sharing better information with local law enforcement partners and the construction of an aviation and airspace security division that is “dedicated to the agency’s important aerial monitoring capabilities”.

This news comes a few days before the anniversary of the attack on 13 July 2024. Corey Complete, who attended the rally, was killed and two others were injured.

The incident inspired the resignation of Kimberly Chital, the then director of the service.

The Gupta service has been under intensive investigation for the last 12 months, and has faced a sharp criticism from members of the US Congress.

Last September, a 94-Page Senate report found that for safety failures and lack of communication within the US secret service, for the incident of “direct contribution”, and that many issues remained uncontrolled two months later.

The attack was also said to be stopped in another report, published in December, by a house of the House of Representatives by the taskforce. The paper identified the main omission as a failure to secure the roof, from which the miscreants set fire.

Trump, who was successfully selected in November, was provided with increased security after the attack – ensuring that he received security at a specific level for the presidential candidate.

In September, he was again visited for safety by Secret service agents, as after one second after gunfall bushes in bushes in Trump’s golf course in Florida. The FBI also described this as an attempt to murder.

The suspect was detained in that second incident.
