In a previous interview with the digital platform Herziki, Jariwala shared the story how it was discovered. “It was not a struggle for me at all,” he remembered. “I stood outside my college with some friends, when the directors of Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru saw me.”

He initially thought that it was a mischief. “I come from a very academic family. So, it was very impossible for me how I would get permission at home,” he said.
While assuring his parents, he accepted, not easy. “I laugh a lot today when thinking about it … because we did not do to convince our parents. Somehow our directors assured my father,” he said.
This was followed by a cultural moment that defined the remix era in Indian pop music. “I didn’t expect it to be a night’s success and my whole life changed. For me, it was so,” he reflected.
