Former Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan made a shocking revelation in his book that he had taken a foreign girl to his hotel room during his visit to Australia. He used to share the room with Rohit Sharma and Hitman also complained to him.
Team India’s ODI captains Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are known not only on the field but also outside the field for their amazing bonds. Rohit is currently playing in a format for Team India but Dhawan has retired. Dhawan has now written his autobiography in which he has made a shocking revelation.
Shikhar Dhawan has revealed an interesting story from his life. In his book ‘The One: Cricket, My Life and More’, he referred to an exciting incident during the Australia Tour in 2006. At that time he was with the India-A team in Australia and fell in love with a girl.
In 2006, Shikhar Dhawan arrived in Darwin while visiting Australia with the India-A team. There, her eyes fell on a beautiful girl in the immigration line. Both started talking while collecting goods. After a small conversation, he exchanged the phone number and email ID. Shikhar emailed her as soon as she reached the hotel, and she replied. Shikhar then invited her to a party, and she agreed.
Shikhar also mentioned that he used to take the girl to his hotel room, which he had shared with Rohit Sharma. Shikhar said, ‘I fell in love with that beautiful girl. I thought he was right for me and I would marry her. After every match, I would go to meet him and take him to my room. ‘Rohit Sharma did not like all this. Shikhar laughed and said, ‘Rohit used to complain in Hindi sometimes,’ Will you let me sleep? ,
Soon, their relationship in the team came to know that a senior national selector saw him together in the hotel lobby.
Shikhar said, “One evening, when I led to dinner with Ellen, the news of her appearance spread like a wildfire throughout the squad. A senior national selector, who was on a tour with us, saw us walking in the lobby connected to my hand. It did not even happen to me that I should let go of his hand, because we were not doing it.
Dhawan played 167 Odis, 68 T20I and 34 Tests for India. He had a successful 50 -over format as he scored 6793 runs. Average 44.11
