Carson Heron, son of four -time PGA Tour winner Tim Heron, will start his PGA Tour in this week’s John Dere Classic.
22-year-old Heron, who recently did no situation on any world-rank tours, won 3-for-1 playoffs in the Monday qualifier at the Pinnacle Country Club in Milan of Illinois, in which the three players defeated fellow professionals Michael Johnson and Black Macasashe after matching the three players.
Josh Radcliffe of Grapewine, Texas, fired 9-Under 63 to win the qualifier, while Corn Ferry Tour players Petra Hrubi and Zack Fisher also advanced for 8 undergraduate camps. It will also be the PGA Tour Debut of Red Clif.
Heron is coming out of a senior season in New Mexico, where he won twice, led Lobos to NCAA Championship appearance and finished at number 161 in the national individual rankings. He also abolished number 47 in the PGA Tour University Rankings.
Notes not proceeding through Monday qualifiers include Blade Brown, Dock Redman, Sean O’Hare, Nick Watni, Ian Giligan and John Agensestein.
