Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: Sonam and other accused were kept in separate cells of Shillong Police Station.

New Delhi: The King Raghuvanshi murder case in Meghalaya has now taken a dreadful turn. The first glimpse of Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of Raja, who was arrested in this sensational case, has come to light. All have been kept in separate cells of Sadar police station of Shillong. Shillong District and Sessions Court has sent everyone to police custody for eight days. Police said Sonam’s alleged lover Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) and Akash Rajput (19) have been kept in the same cell, while Vishal Singh Chauhan (22) and Anand Singh Kurmi (23) have been closed in another cell. Everyone is accused of conspiring to kill Sonam’s husband Raja Raghuvanshi together and brought him to the end.
CCTV cameras have been installed in every cell to closely monitor the behavior of the accused in the police station. The police is already cautious before any possible disturbance. Sonam looked very calm before and after appearance in court. According to the police, she was served food, which she also ate quietly. But what conspiracies are hidden behind this silence, its investigation has now started rapidly.
This case has become not just a domestic dispute, but a pre -planned murder operation. On June 2, the body of King Raghuvanshi was recovered from a deep ditch under Wei Sawadong parking lot in East Khasi Hills district. As soon as this body was identified, the whole matter became badly entangled. After this, Meghalaya Police started a special investigation campaign called ‘Operation Honeymoon’ and sent teams together in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Sonam escaped for a few days after the murder, but on June 7, she surrendered to the police in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. After this, he was brought to Sadar Police Station of Shillong by road to Patna, then Kolkata and Guwahati. The remaining four accused have also been caught by the police and all will now have to face long inquiry.
Sonam is alleged to have called her husband to rotate Cherrapunji on the pretext of honeymoon, but plot to kill her. The entire plan included her lover and three other youths. Now everyone’s mobile data, call details and trips are being investigated.
According to police sources, some more names can be revealed in this case. Investigating officers are now also interrogating those who knew about the personal relationships of Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam or who have any connection with this tour. Apart from this, social media chats and bank transactions are also being investigated, so that further evidence can be gathered about the murder plan.
At present, the Meghalaya Police is very strict about this case. Security has been tightened in Shillong Police Station and every accused is being closely monitored. In the next few days, the police hopes that the whole story from planning of murder to execution will be revealed.
