Suddenly the storm rolled into the area, and an electric bolt hit the water, where a group of 20 people, eight adults and 12 children were floating.

While the original reports admitted 18 persons to the hospital, all 12 children were included, Lexington County later stated that 12 people were taken to three hospitals to get better treatment. The authorities did not provide updated details at the age of the injured, but they confirmed that everyone was expected to survive.
