Eva, sitting in the costume room of the National Institute of Flemenco, says, “Even though we all present this, very high-ended flames, the argument behind it is to inspire young people and cultivate.” He is surrounded by exceptionally ruled rack racks. “We all started as children and we know what impact Flemenco had on us as young people.”

Outreach is a major part of his mission. Between Eva and her children, Marisol and Jokin, they have taught thousands of flames in the institute and in UNM.

By that end, the institute sends teachers to public schools across the state.

“We are going to clap with music, in 4/4 times, which means we count 1-2-3-4,” Inton’s Sara Ward, a Canadian who is thrilled with Flemenco and now teaches. She is leading a class of fourth-graders at the Taos Integrated School of Arts. Fifteen children happily count their sneakers.

The ward said in an interview, “New Mexico is the best place to reach Flemenko outside Spain.” “There is such a rich cultural heritage here. We have grown it here in the earth and hence it is a part of the new Mexican experience.”

One of his bright eyes students is 10 -year -old Saru Mussiylowski.

“I feel the opportunity to get anger out,” she says. “I really like to stomach my feet. But I also feel that I can just flow and be.”

She says, “I love it, because in class I can’t just stop my feet. I will get into trouble.”

Flemenco has been demonstrated with aggression – fast wooden heels, wild singing, baroque guitarwork. Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorka defined DundeThe feeling of flameko, “tragedy-inspired ecstasy … a poetic feeling that is uncontrolled.”

Marisol Encyncius says, it is really difficult to learn, who is also an assistant professor of flameco dance in the UNM.

“This is really, really a challenging artform,” she says. “I had a guitarist friend who said that you spend your whole life in an average trying to be average.”
