PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav escaped unharmed when a speeding truck collided with two vehicles in his convoy in Bihar’s Vaishali district early Saturday, injuring three security personnel. Police have arrested the truck driver and seized the truck. The vehicle of Tejashwi, however, was not hit by the truck. “We are interrogating the driver,” Goraul police inspector Raushan Kumar said.Tejashwi was returning after attending a political function in Madhepura and his convoy had stopped for a tea break near Goraul on the Patna-Muzaffarpur national highway when the incident took place, causing panic.The RJD leader escaped unhurt as he was sipping tea just a few meters away. “Tejashwi narrowly escaped as he was sipping tea barely few meters from the incident,” RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan told the TOI on Saturday.
