“Fine dining is dead,” reads a poster because you step into this ultracious site in the Mauria neighborhood. Tasca Baldracca is among a new generation of tascas (no-frills, affordable, traditional restaurant), where the chefs are showing that the style can be updated without losing the essential character of the neighborhood hangout. Although it may look accidental, the restaurant surprises with foods made with refined techniques and quality materials at affordable prices. The dining room has a vibrant mood, where dishes designed to share create an atmosphere. Start with couvert (sour bread and spread goat cheese), followed by items such as beef tartare, gizard tempura and roast -sucking pigs.
Must-TRI Dish: The house carries on the fried chicken, dubbed CFC (Caesar fried chicken), comes completely crisp, the Caesar tops the dressing and the top with a generous shaving of Parmeson.
