We considered Hosar and Varth in Menorka, but the team insisted Reversed—Somere I never went! But I trusted professionals. When I arrived, I was surprised how it was. Jean and Nikki left the city early and worked in the barn. He loved rural life. It felt very beautifully British, but it should also be.

I had such a terror reaction to see the exhibition. Grand garden, Curns. You start with tinguely moving kinetic machines, then you move to Nikki’s Stark and Serious Shooting Pictures, then you look out of the window and see Nana statues In gardens.
I think it is beautifully curate. I am thankful that this is happening now, before the big exhibition in Paris, where we see tungely, niki, pontus hultén … all artistic friends. Then we are opening an exhibition for the centenary of the gene in Geneva. You see the real scope of both their work. In the Samarset, we have very intimate correspondence on performance. You see their love, humor and generosity. In the Summerset Garden, they find fountains and children run through water with Nana. I was lucky that Nikki and Jean had enough to have a child, so I really understood the magic of his work. I think it is amazing to be young for people to understand art, and see that art is a part of life.
How did you start stopping the scope of his work? Especially for Nikki – from shooting paintings to maternal grandfather – the range in form and story is very huge.
I think it is really always important to tell stories, or to make at least one way so that people can make their stories. We show all these different creative languages that they used both together and different -from imagination to cinema, moving machines and fountains. I think it is amazing to blur the boundaries between public and private art in this exhibition, and it is really very rare. And while the show is a lot about happiness and humor and provides a slight solitude from the world’s darkness, there are heavy subjects – but in a poetic way.

I think it is the beauty of their work: changing and contradicts to change ideas. I think you can see how intensely they cooperate, but also real delimitation between them. You will probably think as a couple, that they will further reflect each other. Instead, they have a unique sense of artistic identity.
