The One Meal This NYC Chef Always Makes With His Son

When you want a good Italian food around New York City – or really anywhere – there are some things I always see. A real Italian pronunciation helps, or whispering at least one. Fresh bread and olive oil (with a bonus points for roasted garlic swimming and slowly infect it). And fresh Parmeson – lots of it. You know that this is the real deal when a full wheel and a microplane greater in the dining room are always on the standby.

Third generation Italian established by American Chef JosedoriRestaurant is a love letter for Italian-American cooking that never goes out of style. Think: Red Booth, Checker Measoposh, Stained Glass Light Fit, and Bath in Caesar Salad Fresh Creashy Paneer. It is comfortable, classic and always packed. And there is a possibility, you will see that those who personally suffer perm on their dish.

A Michelin-starred chef, Isidori, did not fall into the world of only restaurants, he was picked up in it. Since he was five years old, he was in the kitchen, learning ropes from cooking English muffin pizza with his father. Today, he is continuing the tradition with his 8 -year -old son, Roman.

“We do not go aim for Michelin stars when the Roman is in the kitchen – we target for a smile.”

What they cook together (hint: pizza is always on the menu)

One of his favorite? Homemade pizza night. Roman rolls the dough, spoon the sauce, chooses topping, and secrets a lot of cheese on the way.

“Cooking with Roman is one of my full favorite things. It’s not just about food – it’s about spending real time together.”

This father’s day, both will probably come back to the kitchen, which they do best do: crack the egg, stirring the sauce, and dance to Sinatra.
