A heatwave continues to catch large parts of Europe, with officials in many countries with officers who issued health warnings between temperature.
Southern Spain is the worst-affected region, with temperatures in the mid-40s recorded in Sevile and neighboring areas.
According to Spain’s National Weather Service, a new heat record for June 46C was set in the city of L. Granado on Saturday, which also said that the month is on the track for the hottest June on the record.
The red summer warning is applied to Portugal, Italy and parts of Croatia, including many amber warnings from Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland.
In Barcelona, a woman died after completing a shift as a road sweeper on Saturday, when the temperature was too high. Local officials are investigating his death.
In Italy, emergency departments across the country have reported an increase in heat cases, which mainly affects “elderly people, cancer patients, or homeless people”, Vice President of the Italian Society of Emergency Medicine, Mario Gwarino, vice -president of the Italian Society of Emergency Medicine, told the AFP news agency.
Hospitals such as Ospedale Dei Koli in Naples have set up the dedicated heatstroke routes to speed up access to important treatments such as cold water immersion.
In the north, the city of Bologna has set up seven climate shelters with air conditioning and drinking water, while Rome offers free access to the city’s swimming pool for more than 70 people.
A pharmacist in Portugal’s capital Lisbon told Reuters News Agency that despite telling people “not to go out” during the hottest hours of the day, “We already have some cases of heat stroke and irritation”.
Severe heat has also affected countries in the western balcon, where the temperature has reached more than 40C.
Serbia recorded its highest temperature as it started recording them in the 19th century. In Slovenia, the hottest June temperature was recorded on Saturday.
As the temperature reaches 42C on Friday, North Macedonia is also increasing.

To come more hot weather
In the next few days, the temperature in France, Germany, Italy and the UK will continue to heat up to the middle of the week in some areas.
The yellow and amber alert for parts of England at the end of this week are in place, and the temperature in London can reach 35C on Monday.
The heat is built under a large area of high pressure, with dry air descending and warming.
As this process has continued for more than several days, the temperature has risen. The high pressure area will move eastwards in the next few days – move the high temperature north and east.
While it is difficult to connect individual extreme weather events with climate change, heatwaves are becoming more common and more intense due to climate change.
Scientists of the World Weather Atribution, who analyze the effects of climate change on extreme weather events, say that June Heatwave is now 10 times more than the pre-industrial time over three consecutive days with three consecutive days.
