An injury knocked Eddie Pepreel from the last group of Sundays on the secondary circuit of Europe.
Peparel was tied to the lead in 13 with David Horse and Albin Bergstrom, entering the final round of the Le Wadrule Golf Challenge, a French stop on a hotelplanler tour, which was the first challenge tour. But the 34 -year -old Englishman was forced to withdraw overnight due to a back injury.
Pappal has not yet commented on the return, not active on social media since last summer.
Two -time DP World Tour Winner, although not since 2018, Peparel missed six weeks of action after Pepreel withdrew six holes in his second round at DPWT’s Turkish Airlines. Peparel blamed the burnout and later bad game, later said, “I knew before Turkey, but I definitely knew that I was going out of the syllabus in a small car in Turkey that I was not going to see a golf course for a while.”
He returned to a hotelplanler tour in Plainf, France last week, where he missed the cut. He currently sits at number 74 in Mallorca’s road, where the top 20 players at the end of the season earn DPWT status.
Pepreel, which ranks 538th in the world rankings, lost his DPWT card in the previous season. He then narrowly missed the Q-school.
“So far this week, I have played the golf I used to play,” Pepreel said on Saturday evening after a round of 70-67-66. “… I definitely feel refreshed. I think I feel very calm and my energy level has been much better which is a good sign. I am definitely physically and psychologically a better place.”
Horsie and Bergstrom played on Sunday as a Twosome.
