Amidst the ongoing Naxal operation, security forces have closed Bhaskar, a top Naxal commander in the National Park area of ​​Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh. He had a reward of Rs 45 lakh in the deceased Naxal.
According to IG Buster, an AK-47 rifle, explosives, other weapons and a significant amounts of ammunition have also been seized during the encounter.
The encounter was a part of the ongoing rift against Naxal rebels in the region, and officials believe that it is a significant shock for Maoist operations in the region.
The encounter was being done by the State Police’s Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel as part of the encounter and also the special unit of CRPF Cobra said by Cobra, Inspector General of Police, Basar Range Sundararaj.
“After the exchange of the fire, an AK-47 rifle and other explosives with arms and ammunition, a Naxalite body, was recovered from the encounter site. Initial identity suggests that the body is a member of Bhaskar aka Melrapu Edelu, a special zonal committee (SZC).”
“Bhaskar, resident of Adilabad district in Telangana, was the secretary of TSC’s Mancharyal-Komarumbime (MKB) division of Maoists. He rewarded Rs 25 lakh in Chhattisgarh and Rs 20 lakh in Telangana.”
