President Donald Trump, who returned to the White House in January, has taken a dramatic step to put the US in a terrible struggle between Iran and Israel, promising to be a “peacekeeping”.
Away from bringing peace in the Middle East since assuming office, Trump is now presiding over a region on the precipitation of the war – a fight in which America is an active participant.
Two hours after announcing on social media, in a television address from the White House to the nation that US forces attacked three nuclear sites in Iran, the US President said the operation was a “spectacular success”.
He hoped that his step would open the door for a more permanent peace where Iran had no longer the ability to become nuclear power.
Iran has said that its heavy stronghold Fordo Atomic Site had only a minor loss. Time will tell which side is right.
Vice President JD Vance, State Secretary Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump warned Iran that if he did not leave his nuclear program, he would face future attacks that were “very poor and very easy”.
“Many goals were left”, Trump said, and America will be followed by “speed, accuracy and skill”.
Despite the President’s Bravo, a continuous American military engagement in Iran may be the worst situation for the US, region and the world.
United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Gutres warned of “spiral of chaos”, which could result in an American decision to increase conflict, given that the Middle East was already “on the shore”.
If Iran vengeance – as Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that the US attack would be forced to respond to the American side.
‘Two weeks’ became two days
Earlier this week, Trump’s rhetoric that Iran had to “surrender” unconditionally, put the President in a position where it would be difficult for him to return. Iran, with its own threats, withdrew itself to a similar corner.
In this way wars begin – and they can expand the control of those involved, and the imaginations.
On Thursday, Donald Trump gave Iranians a two -week time limit, but it was reduced more than expected – just two days. On Saturday night, the US President announced that he had acted.
Was there two weeks to the conversation? A bid to woo Iranians in a false sense of security later this week? Or was the back-to-back conversation under the leadership of Trump’s nominated Shantidoot Steve Witchoff?

Immediately after the attacks, very rare is known. But in his social media posts and in his television address, Trump tried to open the door for peace.
However, this can be an optimistic approach. While Israelis have made a lot of efforts to reduce Iran’s military capabilities, Ayatollah still has weapons at their disposal.
Things can be dirty rapidly.
Now the waiting game begins. How will Iran respond to attacks on its three sites, including Fordo, which is seen as the Crown Jewel of its atomic program?
Trump is hoping that the US forced Iran to give more and more concessions at the conversation table, but it seems that a nation shrinking to talk under the Israeli attack would be more inclined when American bombs are also falling.
And when Trump meant that the American attack was a unique, successful event, if it is not, the pressure to strike again would increase – or the President would have taken a serious political risk for minimal military benefits.
‘Shantidoot’ President risks political shock
That risk includes domestic political concerns with international security questions.
The possibility of an American attack on Iran inspired sharp criticism not only from Democrats but also within Trump’s “America First” movement.
The President’s unusual decision may have flicked his national address by his three close advisors, which may be an attempt to project unity within his party.
Vance, in particular, has been a vocal lawyer of a more restrained American foreign policy and recently, took to social media to make the case that Trump is still a non-interventionist who should be given the benefit of doubt by his supporters.
If this attack is an one-clot incident, Trump may be smoothly capable of divisions within their base. But if it draws America into a big struggle, the President can revolt with his ranks.
Saturday’s attack was an aggressive step for a President who claimed to launch a new war during his first presidential post and regularly published against the predecessors who attracted the country into foreign conflicts on the campaign mark last year.
Trump has taken his step. Where it goes from here is not completely under its control.
