June Takahashi’s undercover is one of the most clearly outspoken labels of fashion, when it comes to adding its collection with the atmosphere and storytelling. The flipcide of that reverse is that when a collection is distributed purely in photographic format, as here, the absence of atmosphere and storytelling increases.
Nevertheless, with a little imagination, you can project a way to the breezali attached pre-spring hero of the undercover. They turn it into slingback mules, quite a birkenstock tokyo but more sophisticated than sole. Like the painted straw wide cap, which were at the top of each look, these mules were marked with a cursive scrable that reads ‘I am chaos’. Nevertheless, this graphic seemed to have a wrong performance decoration in a collection that was highly organized in search of many menwear standards.
Bowling shirts, sewn collar park jackets, camp collar shirt washed cotton interesting patch, henley, oversized linen suiting, utility pockets, cardigan, frede-knitted sweater waste, a knit-back leather jacket and some stadium jackets with a short-shirt set. The collection displayed the new wave resonance of the undercover, but on an extremely gentle frequency: punk but politely so.
