Unilever to pay .5 billion for men’s grooming brand Dr Squatch

Unilever Paying $ 1.5 billion (1.09 billion pounds) to buy men’s personal care brand Dr. Squatch From a private-equity firm Summit partnerThe Financial Times said on Friday citing sources.

Without disclosing financial statements, the deal was announced earlier this week earlier this week.

Launched in 2013 by founder and CEO Jack Hadrup, and named after the mythical creature Sasquach, Dr. Squatch began by selling handmade bars for men.


Los Angeles-based company currently sells deodorant, hair care products, colon, lotions and other individual care products through its website and through brick-and-mortar stores. Unilever had earlier said that Dr. Acquisition of squatch will complement its men’s personal care offerings, including AX and Pigeon Men+Care Deodorant, and it was internationally Dr. Will score squatch.
