United Airlines to expand ‘undersized’ Premium Plus cabin

A ‘very exciting’ opportunity

Depending on the flight, cash and mileagePlus rates fall somewhere between the coach and the poleris – sometimes between the two cabins. However, it is not uncommon to see the premium plus price inch close to the business class compared to the economy.

A hit with customers

Like other airlines unveiling premium economy products in recent years, United created immense interest from customers at the time when passengers come to high-end seats.

“Premium Plus, I think, is actually a very exciting opportunity as a mid-range product,” he said on Thursday.

United is not alone. Almost every American airline is bending more heavy in premium seats, including each “Big Three” Legacy Career (including American Airlines and Delta Air Lines).
