United partners with Spotify to add streaming audio to seatback screens

United Airlines Passengers will be able to listen to curate Spotify Playlist, audibook and video podcast starting from this week directly from their seatback screen.

This is the first to Spotify, who has never offered its video and audibook facilities on the platform of the airplane, United said Press release,

“Spotify has a very big audience and people love their content. And now our customers can enjoy it in a simple and easy way at 35,000 feet,” said Richard Noon, CEO of MileagePlus, in a press release. “Together, we are giving millions of customers a completely new way to experience and detect premium content from the world’s most popular artists, writers and podcasters while flying in the sky with the latest technology in the sky.”

United said that next year, passengers will be able to use their personal devices to log in to the Spotify app on the Inflite Entertainment Screen.

Spotify said that United Passengers were the right partner to bring their content.

Streaming giant said in an email to CNBC, “Cooperation Spotify Fans know and loves Skyse, so travelers can stream their favorite playlists, podcasts and audiobooks on United Flights.”

This step has been highlighted with record customer satisfaction score from its Inflit Entertainment. First-fourth moneyA joint spokesman said.
