USNS Harvey Milk Navy renamed after WWII naval officer Oscar V. Peterson : NPR

The Pentagon has officially stripped the name of the late gay civil rights leader Harvey Milk from an US Navy vessel, amidst extensive efforts by the Trump administration that it describes the public as a “wok” ideology.
