US President Donald Trump says American warfare aircraft bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, which marks a significant growth in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

The President said in a brief television address to the American people, “Remember, there are many goals left. Tonight was the most difficult for them all, and perhaps the deadliest,” the President said in a brief television address to the American people.

“But if peace does not come soon, we will go to those other goals with precise, speed and skill.”

One of the goals was Fordo, a uranium enrichment plant hidden in a remote mountains that is important for Iran’s atomic ambitions. We do not yet know the full scale of damage in the facility.

Israeli officials say they were in “complete coordination” with the US in planning these attacks.

Talking to BBC US partner, CBS News, according to US officials, the US on Saturday approached Iran through diplomatic channels and stated that an intended to carry out airstrikes and “efforts to change governance” were “not planned”.

Iran can respond by targeting American military property in the region. Its officials had earlier warned that any US attack took the risk of a regional war and they would retaliate.

What we know here is a breakdown.

how did it start?

Israel on June 13 launched a stunning attack on dozens of Iranian atoms and military goals. It said that its ambition was to destroy its nuclear program, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that will be able to produce atomic bombs soon.

Iran insisted that its atomic ambitions are peaceful. In vengeance, Tehran launched hundreds of rockets and drones in Israel. The two countries have continued to exchange attacks in an aerial war, which has now lasted for more than a week.

Trump has long said that he is opposing Iran’s nuclear weapons. Israel is widely believed that they have, although it neither confirms nor denies it.

In March, US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said that while Iran had extended its uranium stockpile to an unprecedented level, it was not building an nuclear weapon – an assessment that Trump recently stated that “wrong”.

At the mark of the campaign, Trump criticized the previous US administration for engaging in the “stupid endless wars” in the Middle East, and vowed to keep the US out of foreign conflicts.

The US and Iran were in nuclear talks at the time of Israeli’s surprising attack. Only two days ago, Trump said he would give Iran two weeks to enter a sufficient conversation before striking – but this timeline came out very little.

What is the US bombing, and which weapon has been used?

The US says it hit three nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.

The Fordo is hidden in a hill south of Tehran, and is believed to be deep underground than the channel tunnel connecting the UK and France.

The depth of the Fordo below the Earth’s surface has made it difficult to reach with the weapon of Israel. Only America was considered only a “bunker buster” bomb strong and quite large for destroying large Fordo.

That American bomb is called GBU-57 large-scale Ordnance Entreprenerator (MOP). According to experts, it weighs 13,000 kg (30,000LB), and is capable of entering about 18 meters of concrete or 61 meters before exploding.

Fordo tunnels are considered to be 80 meters below the surface to 90 meters below, so the MOP is not guaranteed to succeed, but it is the only bomb that can come close.

US authorities confirmed CBS that MOP was used in strikes, with two for each target.

What is the effect on land in Iran?

It is not yet clear what damage to the US attack on nuclear features, or whether there are any injuries or casualties.

Hassan Abedini, the Deputy political director of Iran’s state broadcaster, said that Iran had “while first” these three atomic sites.

While appearing on the state -run television, he said Iran “was not a major setback because the material was already out”.

In his television address, Trump stated that “nuclear enrichment features have become completely and completely distracted”.

But speaking on the BBC news channel, the former Assistant Secretary of the state, Mark Kimit, was more vigilant for political-civil matters.

“There is no way to suggest that it has been destroyed for all time,” he said.

Iran has said that over 200 people were killed since the latest round of the fight with Israel, and more than 1,200 were injured.

Meanwhile, Israel is increasing security in view of US attacks on Iran’s major nuclear sites.

Israeli, Israeli’s Defense Forces (IDF) said that Israel has tightened its public safety sanctions across the country.

Upgrade – comes after US attacks on Iran, including “education activities, ceremonies and prohibitions on workplaces”.

How can Iran retaliate?

Experts say Iran has been greatly weakened by Israeli attacks on its military bases, saying that even the back of its regional screen in Syria in Lebanon (Hizbullah) and Gaza (Hamas). But Iran is still capable of doing a lot of damage.

Iranian officials warned the US against joining, stating that it would suffer from “irreparable damage” and put the “all-out war” in the region at risk.

It has threatened to target American bases in the region in vengeance. The US operates military places in at least 19 regions in the Middle East, including Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

The most obvious goals for Iran are the 5th fleet of the US Navy in Meena Salman in Bahrain.

It can also target an important shipping route, known as the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean and through which 30% of the world’s oil supply is transported. It can also attack other sea routes that risk destabilizing global markets.

Iran can also target the wealth of nearby countries which it supports America, which risks to increase the war throughout the region.

Does Trump require approval from the Congress to send America into war?

Under the US law, the President does not have the only power to formally declare war in another country. Only Congress – MPs can be selected in the House of Representatives and Senate.

But the law also states that the President is the lead commander of the armed forces. This means that he can deploy American soldiers and conduct military operations without the formal announcement of war.

For example, Trump’s decision to carry out airstrikes in Syria in 2017 against the Assad government did not require approval from the Congress. Instead, Trump did unilateral job, citing national security and human reasons.

Some MPs from both sides of the corridor have recently tried to limit Trump’s capacity to carry on the solution of war powers through Congress and strike us on Iran, although it may take weeks before putting it in a formal vote, and are more symbolic than such measures.
