Jonathan AC Brown, Professor makes controversial statements
After the bombing, a professor at the University of Georgetown in Washington, DC made headlines, saying that he “expects” that Iran in turn “symbolic strike”. Jonathan AC Brown, who teaches Islamic civilization, posted a comment on X, which is according to the spoon.
“I am not an expert, but I think Iran can still easily get a bomb. I hope that Iran stops some symbolic strike on a basis, everyone stops.
“Iron is that, the main takeaways (in my non-expert opinion, and I am happy to be right) have nothing to do with the US attack: 1) Iran can take a licking; 2) If Israel attacks the Iranian cities, it is very bad. My best effort, said the professor said.

Brown has faced a lot of backlash for his controversial comments. He has since removed the post and clarified in a separate post, “I removed my previous tweet because many people were interpreting it as a call for violence. This is not what I have intended. I have two immediate family members in the US Army who have served abroad and do not want to harm American soldiers or anyone!”
