An emerging star assembly Zoharan Mamdani, an emerging star assembly in New York City politics, is now leading in Democratic Primary for the Mayor, however, before the rank-friendly voting we know who will take reins in the city hall.
On Tuesday, as he is leading the NYC Mayor election, Andrew Kuoom congratulated Zoharan, saying, “It was not our night tonight. Tonight was the night of the assembly, and he laid a great campaign together.”
“They touched the young people and inspired them and transferred them, and got them to come out and vote. And they really launched a highly effective campaign. I called them. I congratulated them. I honestly praised him for his efforts.”

Who is the parents of Zoharan Mamdani?
Zohran was born on 18 October 1991 in Kampala, Uganda, Professor Mahmood Mamdani, a highly respected political thinker and Meera Nair, a famous Indian-American filmmaker’s house.
His father, Mahmood Mamdani, is an Indian scholar born in Uganda, whose colonialism, political violence and work on African history are depicted in academics worldwide. He has taught in many universities such as Columbia University, and is currently director of the Mekerere Institute of Social Research in Uganda.
Zoharan’s mother, Meera Nair, is a name familiar with the worldwide. The Indian-American director is known for films like Salaam Bombay!
After staying in Kampala and Cape Town, Mamdani-Nair’s house moved to New York City when Zohan was seven years old. It was in NYC that he participated in Bank Street School and later Bronx High School of Science before studying Africa’s study at Bodoin College.
In particular, Zoharan was elected in the state assembly to represent the share of Queens in 2021.
The rapper received support from the politician from Alexandria Okasio-Cortes and Burney Sanders, and many others, as he went to the mayor’s election.
