The 82 -year -old, who died on 25 June, was identified as Karen Diamond. What do we know about the suspect?
45 -year -old Mohammad Sabari Soliman is the father of five children, who is a Uber driver by profession. Soliman in jail was already facing allegations of federal hatred crime, and is now facing additional legal consequences. On June 30, prosecutors announced new state level allegations against him, including 66 additional counts for first-degree murder and attack.
Federal officials revealed that he was living in the United States long after ending his visa. Police said Soliman, who is a Muslim, admitted to target “Run for Run” on Boulder’s Pearl Street Pedestrian mall due to his anger on the alleged support of the participants for the Israeli war in Gaza. The weekly walk, which was attended by many Jewish community members, which aims to raise awareness for the hostages taken by Hamas in the October 2023 attack on Israel.
During the attack, Soliman shouted “free Palestine” before allegedly exposed the violence. He is now facing allegations in the state associated with 29 victims, including 13, who suffered physical injuries, as well as allegations of a dog -related animal cruelty that caused damage in the attack. Federal prosecutors have not yet confirmed whether additional federal allegations will be filed.
