As a person who travels often, it often surprises people that I have never been cruiseSo when the opportunity came on the cruise Alaska – One of my favorite places – I felt that it’s time to find for myself.
Alaska is a cruise hot-spot, so there is a large number of options. I eventually decided to travel Princess cruise -And it may just convert me into a so -called cruise person.
Alaska is largely. It dwarfs the large mainland like Texas-and the locals as well as the most souvenir with T-shirts, are hurried to indicate out. While most of the cruises cover the glaciers in the south and some go up to the encounter, there is a lot to look into the interior and beyond this it is a shame to really stick to the southern regions. And this is the place where the princess cruise is standing outside.
Princess offers land options that deliver passengers to the fairbanks via Denali National Park via bus and rail. Visits are available at every stage, as well as Princess Lodge At each destination. I not only experienced a Denali Wilderness Tour-where we saw Grizzly Beer, Mouss, and Karibu-but I was lucky enough to fly on Denali on a flight tour. There is also freedom to detect local cities such as the attractive hippie city of Talbena.
But the real shock came when I went on the board. One of the first things I saw, the board had facilities and levels of service. I think most ships have gym and spa, but the quality of everything on the board was quite impressive. For example, the gym is large for on-board gym with practically new devices. There are also group classes like yoga and cruise line is incorporating more variations like cycling.
The spa is luxurious with an enclave characterized by hydrotherapy stations. I also got surprisingly high-ended face, where I immediately saw the benefits and got better in only next weeks. Medal-level internet package was also very strong in the sea. I was able to take a zoom meeting and even streamed a film in the sea.
I also floated from employees at the level of service. Our steward was incredibly attentive and quick with any request and cleanliness, but the on-board staff on the board was also affected. Bartenders will remember our name and chef from a restaurant and congratulate us and remember our orders. Everyone on the board seemed to make a special effort to make a relationship with the guests.

It has a really special facility to make princess cruise special Ancient medal (A coin-shaped wearable device) and with a smartphone app. The medal acts as your key on the ship as well as the key to your room. There are all sensors on the ship that track the space of the medal and it is useful in many ways. For the beginning, fulfilling your hands is no longer an issue. There is a sensor in your room and when you contact it unlocks the door for you.
You can also be about anything given to you anywhere on the board. (It is said that you order a coffee while staying in the room, but there is a whale spotting on the other side of the ship. The waiter checks your medal location and brings your coffee to you.) In fact, all shopping is also done through medals – no cash is used on the ship. Whatever you are buying, you can see that you can see who is closest to the medalian distance and they are capable of charging on the basis of alone. This makes the lines quick and easy.
You can also track your travel colleagues in the app based on your medalian location. (Do not worry, access to both sides to work.) This came to work when finding people in a large crowd during the incidents.
The app was very useful in general. I had access to full cruise plater for every day, I was on board, I managed all my reservations through the app, and I certainly indulged in midnight roof service once or twice. The medal and its app made everything about the cruise.
Food experience
Cruise food is notorious and you will often hear jokes about people who gain weight on a cruise. However, this is usually caused by volume and quality. Do not misunderstand me: Princess Buffet, also known as the World Fresh Market, is well worth it – and I have some best samosas. However, this is the sheer amount of options, as well as quality, which has actually impressed me. The variety included in the normal food package was impressive, standing from Ramon and Burger to the main dining room with a separate menu every night. (I will also have a rimis to shout alporado’s pizza, which is widely considered the best pizza on any cruise line.)
Where the princess actually shines is its special food. Crown Grill Top-of-the-line surf and turf. Black and blue onion soup is a standout starter and will affect the 22-ingesome porterhouse in size and taste.
Harmony Chef was built with Richard Chen, who first opened the first Chinese restaurant in North America to get a Michelin Star. Along with modern -the concentration and quality of cohesion with traditional Chinese recipes continues to be focused on the older favorite. (Banging bass was personally a standout for me, but I was difficult to find a dish that I did not like.)

The newest addition to princess ships is catch by Rudy. Currently, it is available on select ships, but it is ready to open more throughout the year. The menu takes the most fresh seafood from Alaska and makes incredible dishes and a raw seafood bar. Every dish was inventive and incredible. So far my favorite food experience on the ship. It was not just a good cruise ship restaurant, it is a magnificent restaurant, period. The smoked salmon sensation starter was so good that we ordered two more for the table and everyone passes through their personal entry, “You will try it!”
The beverage program was equally impressive. There were several standard bars across the ship, but the sea had a special cocktail bar called good souls in the sea with a special cocktail menu developed by the mixologist Robbie Floid. Each drink is based on one of the cruise sites of the princess and takes traditional material from that place and combines them with an innovative twist. (One of my personal favorite Oslo had a wiring night, with charcoal tea and gold dust that used to mimic northern lights together.) While these drinks are available only in a specific bar, the menu has become so popular that the princess planned to move it to a larger main stage place on the board.
It is safe to say that I was never hungry or bored while staying on the ship-everything was well-organized and attractive. Quality and care that the team took with everything, actually sold me on hovering again. Now this is about deciding my next destination!
