For the first time in the history of Wimbledon, there will be three British players aged 17 and in a female single draw.

After demonstrating their ability over the years, Mika Stojsavaljevik, Hannah Clugman and Mimi Ju have been rewarded with the main-drama wildcard.

16 -year -old Stosewelljevik has made the most notable progress, Won the US Open Girls title last year.

Last month, Clugman, also became the first Britain in 16, about 50 years Reach the French Open Girls final.

The 17 -year -old Zoo has been ranked just outside the world’s top 300 and has already defeated two top -100 opponents on the grass.

Now, after removing their GCSE and A-Level exams from the path, all three are focusing on their Wimbledon Senior Debut.

“We have long known that this is a good three ball in favor of girls,” LTA’s female tennis chief Ian Bates told BBC Sport.

“All three are on different paths at the top of the game. But their progress shows that they are a packet of players – this is the most positive sign right now.

“Winning and going away in Junior Grand Slam is a big achievement, but it is even more important to push your friends and colleagues to go to the next stage.”
